This MENDELU activity, financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, is primarily aimed at strengthening professional capacity and education in sustainable forest management based on ecological characteristics of the environment and building support tools for adaptation of Mongolian forests to climate change. CABINETS activities mainly target the Mongolian academic community, government authorities and the application sector, with some activities also targeted towards the public.

The outputs of the CABINETS project are:

- A comprehensive training course on sustainable forest management in relation to the ecological limits of the environment

- An invertebrate trapping and preparation workshop

- A database of ecological conditions for the growth of Siberian larch and Scots pine

- Forest hiking trails

- Forest pedagogy events
