The Erasmus+ project was the first MENDELU project in Mongolia focused strictly on education and cooperation with local academia. Its aim was to transfer the necessary experience and knowledge of sustainable forest management and forestry education to students and academics from the Mongolian University of Life Sciences. The intention of the project was to enable students and academics to pass on the experience gained to others and to transfer it into practice, as forest management and forestry education is in a critical state in Mongolia.

Thanks to this project, ten Mongolian students studied for one semester at LDF MENDELU in the Czech Republic. Six Mongolian academics also came to exchange professional experiences. In turn, four LDF academics visited Mongolia and delivered a series of lectures and field training. The second planned trip of LDF academics in 2020 could not be implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic and, due to ongoing restrictions, teaching in 2021 was conducted only online.
