Czech Development Cooperation

Czech Development Projects in Mongolia

This page provides access to an open dataset of Czech development projects implemented in Mongolia, together with documentation explaining the data structure and coding rules used. The dataset compiles verified information on project objectives, thematic focus, locations, funding sources, duration, and implementing organizations, based on publicly available institutional and non-governmental sources.

The data are complemented by an interactive map, which visualizes the spatial distribution of Czech development projects across Mongolia and allows users to explore projects by location and basic characteristics.

All materials are shared to support transparency and to enable further research, analysis, and practical use related to development cooperation in Mongolia. The dataset and the interactive map were originally developed as part of the diploma thesis Czech Development Projects in Mongolia: Mapping, Analysis and Potential for Future Cooperation (Lucie Moravcová, Mendel University in Brno) and are made publicly available here to support further research and practical applications.

Abstract

This dataset documents Czech development cooperation activities in Mongolia and provides a structured overview of development projects implemented by Czech governmental, non-governmental, academic, and other actors. The accompanying documentation describes the methodology, database structure, and coding rules applied to ensure consistency and comparability of the data. Together with the interactive map, these resources offer an accessible tool for exploring Czech development engagement in Mongolia and for supporting further research and practical applications.
